About NB Finder

A free, fast, searchable reference layer over the EU notified body register — built for convenience, not as a substitute for the official source.

What this is

The European Commission moved the NANDO notified-body database into the Single Market Compliance Space (SMCS), a single-page web application that is difficult to search, link to, or index. NB Finder mirrors the same public information as static, permanent pages — one per notified body, per legislation, per country and per device code — so the data is fast to read, linkable and indexable by search engines and AI systems.

NB Finder does not rank, rate or recommend notified bodies. Every profile cites its official SMCS source. The official register is always the authoritative record.

Data sources

Records are mirrored from the EU Single Market Compliance Space (SMCS, formerly NANDO). MDR and IVDR device-code descriptions follow Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) 2017/2185 and MDCG 2019-14. MID instrument categories follow Annex I of Directive 2014/32/EU. Legislation references link to EUR-Lex.

NB Finder does not collect personal data. No cookies are set. No analytics scripts are loaded. The PWA install prompt preference is stored locally in your browser only and is never transmitted to any server.

The NB Finder website design, code and original content are copyright of the respective authors. The device code descriptions are reproduced from official EU regulatory documents for informational purposes.
